Germany’s most important suppliers in the fields of network technology, IT cabling, data centre infrastructure and IT management and security were selected by the readership of LANline in nine categories. In an online poll, readers voted Rittal “2021 Supplier of Year” in no less than five categories.

“The Herborn-based company succeeded in all categories relevant to data center infrastructure,” the LANline editorial team commented in the journal’s latest issue.

“Our thanks go to our customers and the readership of LANline magazine,” says Michael Nicolai, IT Sales Manager Germany at Rittal: “We view the awards as confirmation of the successful development and acceptance of Rittal’s new RiMatrix Next Generation (NG) IT infrastructure platform. This means that we can offer our customers a modular, scalable and globally unique system platform for the entire data centre IT infrastructure, at the rack, cooling, power, monitoring and security levels.”

Rittal was voted leading supplier in the category “Rack Systems for Data Centres and Network”. With its new VX IT rack system, the manufacturer meets every requirement for modern IT infrastructures – network distribution to server racks in edge, colocation or hyperscale data centres.

In addition, Rittal develops needs-based and innovative IT cooling solutions ranging from individual racks, the climate control of suites and rooms, and through to customised climate control concepts for sophisticated high-performance computing (HPC). With its IT cooling product range, the system provider also meets the requirements of intelligent and energy-efficient cooling. This sustainable and all-encompassing portfolio also impressed LANline's readers, who voted Rittal top in the “Data Centre Cooling Technology” category.

Rittal was also recognised as a top provider in the “Data Center Monitoring” and “Physical Data Center Security” categories. With its RiMatrix NG platform, the company offers effective protective measures and monitoring solutions to ensure fail-safe IT environments at all times. With sensors to measure humidity, temperature, and differential pressure and to report vandalism, the system provider provides comprehensive and individual protection concepts, such as a basic protection room in modular room-in-room solutions or a high-availability room with even greater levels of security.
