Dear Sir or Madam,
The European Union has adopted several packages of sanctions in response to developments in Ukraine following Russia’s war of aggression. In some cases, this policy is causing great uncertainty among businesses.
Against this backdrop, the signatory makes the following declaration on behalf of Rittal GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter referred to as “Rittal”).
With regard to Council Regulation (EC) 2023/2014 amending Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine, the undersigned declare the following:
- All operations and sales activities in Russia have been discontinued
- Rittal products do not originate from Russia, Belarus, the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea or the occupied territories of the Ukraine (Donetsk). Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya or Kherson), irrespective of whether the contractor is based inside or outside the European Union, the goods have not been processed in a non-EU country using steel and iron products originating in Russia (Article. 3g of Regulation (EU) No 833/2014)
- Rittal and all parties in its supply chain are independent of and have no direct or indirect interest of over 50% in, or act for or at the direction of, any such person or company.
Concerning international export control regulations, in particular the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the German Foreign Trade and Payments Act (AWV) and the EU Dual-Use Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2021/821), the undersigned certifies that:
- The goods are not exported, re-exported or passed on to third parties without complying with the requirements of the European export control regulations, the EAR and ITAR or the applicable national export control regulations
- No goods will be supplied or sold to countries where such goods are subject to an EU or US embargo
- No goods will be supplied or sold to any person or organisation that is on any sanctions list of the EU or the United States of America
- There is no specific knowledge that the goods sold by Rittal are used for the development, production, handling, operation, maintenance, storage or spread of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons.
