Since 1965, Schubert Elektroanlagen has been successfully active on the market for electrotechnical and mechanical equipment in the plant construction sector. The company specialises in the areas of environment, energy and water. The Lower Austrian company meets the demands on speed and quality by means of a Perforex enclosure machining centre from Rittal, among other things. The virtual construction of the Rittal enclosure takes place with the help of the engineering solution Eplan ProPanel from Eplan.
Pioneering work: Automatic enclosure machining
Approximately 2,600 square metres of enclosure surface are machined for the different ranges of application each year. Two thirds of the enclosures are supplied by Rittal. The major part of them comes from the Rittal TS 8 enclosure and AE housing series.
Acceleration continues
“In the past, we definitely used one third of the working time for the mechanical construction of the enclosure,” Manfred Bandion remembers. “Today, it would no longer be possible to imagine this and it would no longer be feasible here, either.” Engineering without software support is just as unimaginable today. Eplan Pro-Panel has been used at Schubert Elektroanlagen for quite some time. By means of this engineering solution, it is possible to virtually construct the complete enclosure. But there is more to it than that. The data resulting from engineering form the basis for the machining by the Perforex machining centre. “We also use the Rittal 3D macros of the enclosures and the accessories. In this respect, Rittal is really very advanced in comparison with others,” Bandion expresses his great satisfaction. Due to the interaction of Eplan and Rittal, the two companies promise unique process acceleration.
