Hennecke OMS

Hennecke-OMS relies on a global standard

Italian company Hennecke-OMS uses the Rittal VX25 large enclosure system in making production systems for polyurethane insulation boards. Not only do the numerous functions and Industry 4.0 suitability impress, but also the international certifications required for the globally operated systems.

Steel sandwich parts and insulation panels are mainly used when modernising façades. To produce these, manufacturers like to use the range of systems from Hennecke-OMS from Verano Brianza near Milan in Italy. The company offers many technologies and production systems to manufacture polyurethane insulation boards. The systems’ enclosures and climate control features come exclusively from Rittal.

Impressive digital twin

“We decided to rely on a single supplier, in keeping with the spirit of continuous improvement,” according to Alessandro Pozza, Head of Purchasing at Hennecke-OMS. He is especially enthusiastic about the VX25 large enclosure. It is the first such system developed solely to the demands for increased productivity in panel building and switchgear manufacturing. For example, the VX25 is entirely Industry 4.0-capable. Furthermore, combining an actual enclosure and its digital twin meets the user's every digitalisation need – from online configuration and engineering to assembly, automation, logistics and maintenance. Besides the appropriate enclosure climate control solutions, this package is significant for Hennecke-OMS.

We chose Rittal because the company is an internationally recognised brand in the market for enclosures and climate control.

Internationality scores points as do the many functions

The VX25 also picks up points at Hennecke-OMS thanks to some exciting functions based on the VX25 frame section. The large enclosure is not only far more stable; the continuous 25-mm pitch pattern also dramatically reduces the complexity of the enclosure system. Expansion across enclosure boundaries is also extremely flexible, and the accessories can be used much more variably. Furthermore, storage and logistics costs are reduced since roughly up to 40 per cent fewer component variants can be installed. Rittal’s international presence was also crucial to Alessandro Pozza: “We chose Rittal because the products possess international certifications that are essential for the production and installation of our internationally used systems – not to mention the company’s global service,” Mr. Pozza added.
